Here are the results of my betta spawn about two weeks ago. They range in different sizes. About 10 have died so far because they weren't eating? Some just didn't flourish. I think it's because I confused them. I fed them both Atison betta starter food and vinegar eels to start off with. Then I fed them Walter worms 3 days later and a lot of them stayed at the top looking for their food. It wasn't until I started feeding them brine shrimp that they started looking for food at the bottom of the tank. They eventually followed the brine shrimp down. Some shrimp swam down, some stayed at the top so it covered most of the fry.

  • I started addind water VERY slow about the 2nd day after free swimming. I didn't actually start cleaning until the 2nd week. This video was taken after I cleaned a gallon out. If you look closely, you can see some fungus on some of the fry 8-(. They are flourishing now, check out my other videos of the same spawn.

  • @kawaiiroast What kind of heater you got inside your tank, please let me know , ty.

    I Fluval. I don't remember the wattage. Maybe 100?

I'm not sure on the betta fry food from Atison. They say if you start them off with that and keep it at that they will eat it, It's always good to feed live I say. I end up feeding them atison's when they are bout one month or so. They grow real fast on BBS

  • At two weeks I started cleaning the tank out everyday. I take a gallon out (siphoning out the bottom of the tank) and dripping in a gallon back.

  • Awesome tank set up man Kawa. I've tried to hatch my own baby brine shrimp but I haven't had much luck. Do you have a set up video for baby brine shrimp? If you could help me out I really appreciate it. Thanks.

  • do i need to put an oxygen pump for them??

  • them GUPPIES

  • dude i had the same problem, except i had a spawn of about 200 and so many of them just didn't seem to eat and would stay small and die off.. everyday i would siphon a few out until casualties reached about a hundred.. only 100 left now.. the other half just didn't seem to eat and did not flourish =/ check out my channel, i have them documented..

  • @kawaiiroast My frys are near 1 Month old, they do not eat any food that doesn't move!! Do you think if my next breed after they hatch, they will be ok with Atison's starter? This batch right now that doesn't eat unmovement food, they was fed Micro/walter a few days after hatching, is that where I gone wrong?

  • Ohh that is very nice.... when are u gonna upload their pics or video to see them? do u kno about how much is it to ship bettas to Florida?

  • @rebelporro

I'm going to keep my favorite male or my favorite 3 females, and i'm going to give away the rest. lol i dont wanna charge for something i enjoy doing.

  • @Shaney1337 Yeah thanks, I will..... and wat are you doin with the fry? sellin, keep them or giving them away?

  • @rebelporro

It may work ,but if it doesn't take the one ones you like (male and female) the most, and breed them, and continue to do that till you get the desired traits can take a very very very long time huh? lol., i'll take video of them soon, they're still the ten gallon tank, if u look on my channel, there are a few videos of them. lol...
