The following is footage from time spent with cartoonist and graphic novelist Hans Rickheit while visiting his home in Philadelphia, as he discusses his influences, his New England hometown, and his upcoming graphic novel, The Squirrel Machine. Thanks to Hans for the opportunity to let me attempt something film-ish.
Check out Hans' website for his new book.

UPDATE: Over 1,000 views?!? Thanks to everyone who has viewed it and to Fantagraphics Books for making it part of their web page for Hans.
@backenedofforever Chloe is a self-published graphic novel (thanks to a xeric grant) that can still be found. A collection of his older work, Folly, is coming out in the fall of 2011.

Thanks a lot. Yeah, the sound could be a lot better (the one disadvantage of the video function in regular digital cameras), but given how I had just gotten to Hans' place relatively late (after about nearly eight hours of travel) and just started filming it with just about no planning, I'm proud of how the final product turned out. I hope I can do another film with Hans someday using better equipment.
