I remember spending a lot of childhood Sundays running around this town and loving this song. I can hardly go outside to a bright summer's day with a gentle breeze without humming this because of those memories.

This sounds like that small village's song in FF IX, where Steiner needs to carry Princess Garnet in a pickles' sack.
Probably its the same song.

Personally my favourite song from Uematsu. SO GOOD. And FFVIII isn't even my favourite.

Classic old school Uematsu composition, gotta love it. It has a very nostalgic sound to it that I miss. Hopefully someday I can meet him, thank him and just shake his hand.
