RPM168 2 STROkE MADNESS KX500 IN 450 PRO @ Cycle Ranch MX BRAAAAP

Ryan P. McPherson racing a 1992 KX500 in the 450 A class @ Cycle Ranch MX park in near San Antonio, Texas. The track is gnarly rough and I was in no shape physically to ever race that bike at full race pace for 8 laps on a rough track. The suspension is 20 years old, the Brakes are 20 years old, the whole DAMN bike is 20 years old...However, this was alot of fun still riding with all my friends. Jacob Blomfield is the rider on the YZ250 that catches me after taking off on the 2nd gate with the 450B class. This 17 year old caught up to 3rd place in the PRO class. I wish I could have stayed with him long enough to get more footage but I failed. I was whooooped!!! enjoy!

I got smoked but ended up 9 outta 12, I have had step throat since Friday and was running a bad fever so I think I did alright. I just wasnt going to rail into any corners blindly on a 20 year old bike. Thanks for the comment guys.

Nice vid. Hope you can give it another go when you are healthy and the bike has fresh suspension... make those 450s work a bit more (I just bought a 02 kx 500 for ice racing )

awesome, next time need to wring that 500cc out a bit more and blow off those pesky 450's. No contest in speed or power. Like Jeff Ward used to say, "takes a real man to ride a 500 anywhere close to its potential" Guess that's why they stopped making em?
