Representative John Kriesel is one of four Republicans who voted their conscience instead of voting their party and opposed a constitutional amendment that would ban gay marriage in Minnesota. The state already does that by statute.

I'm ashamed of my home state for turning from it's liberal, progressive and inclusive history, to allowing a bunch of religious bigots to determine how, where and for whom certain human rights are to be granted. This is not the state in which I grew up.

I wish well to all of you working hard to correct this. As for what to do with those out of state agitators, I can think of a few abandoned taconite mines up north, or maybe Paul and Babe need some religion-chow (PZ, need any lab rats?).

They actually already do this.  You need a legal contract for the government to recognize your marriage, the problem is that the government is allowing religions to dictate how it operates. That's what's wrong here.

But I will point out that most of Congress, the technocrats that rule your mind, never served in the military.
