No, they don't have to wear neck braces here in Belgium, EXCEPT the "Minis", the youngsters! Some drivers have been using a kind of system HANS (but I don't know what make!) and they were advised NOT to use it at the Belgian Championship as apparently it is.....dangerous!!!!! There's a leg of the French Open Championship this weekend at Mariembourg, Belgium.

is KF1 like the highest level in karting?

Yes, that's right, it's kind of the Formula 1 of karting! It used to be called Formula A!

i remember racing against these drivers in cadet laura tillit jack harver ollie rowland etc.

Are you sure? Some of the drivers in this race were, Davide Fore,Marco Ardigo (champion!),Jason Parrot,Gary Catt,James Calado etc etc

Well, it was the World Championship!!!! They have the drivers and karts on the starting grid like F1, withe music, girls and so on!

A few of these drivers will no doubt become F1 drivers! I've worked there quite a few years (Mariembourg, Belgium) and saw the likes of Alonso, Raikkonen, Davidson (1999),Liuzi,Hamilton,Rosberg(­2001) etc etc

Oh man, good old memory's ^^ I remember going to watch it with my mom, dad, bro and sisters :P Now my brother drives it himself ^^ (KF1) against these guys, ardigo, catt, foré, kozlinski, thonon, piccini etc

@Foinaven0 I find neck braces restrain your movement, makes it very hard to tilt your head whilst going around high speed corners.

Super A was formula 1 of karting, Formula A GP2.

Now SuperKF is F1, KF1 is GP2.

i dont think there manditory eather but id much rather have one on. id rather not have my neck sore at the end of the day. im shure people get used to it but it makes me feel that much more protected
