@Chlorproteksen what do you mean 'try your luck'???? what pulling girls, making a life, getting a job, ripping people off...?????

Really easy place to live? There are no such places on earth. Moreover I heard that life in Aurovulle is quite difficult cause no medication, no comfort. What do they do in Auroville to earn for living?

I was in Auroville for 6 weeks in 2006 and took exactly the same route as you everyday, thanks for the memory, I loved my scooter even if it was a heap of sh*t!

It always was. I have a scooter ride one as well but it is so bumpy and not up yet. Check out my 1991 series on my page- I have one called Traffic attack which is that road from Madras down to Pondy (where you turn off for Auro Beach or Aspiration)- and that is back 16 years!
Is it hard to live in Auroville? What character should man possess if he wants to try his luck there?

Auroville is a really western orientated place to live, Pondicherry is nearby and is also as western as it can get in India. As far as India goes this is one of the easiest places to live. If you want to try your luck anywhere, it's a very nice place!

I had been to Auroville and liked the whole atmosphere. Is this where you have self-sustaining societies. Appreciate if you could give more information about the place.

Yes, this is the place where about 126 nationalities were combined? Don't know the real history; would advise you to search with google. Auroville is a really nice place for visitors or western people who want to live there as it is near Pondicherry; which is really western-orrientated!

By GUM there is a lot of traffic there now! Where were you coming from on the way to that tarmaced road? All those trees and I no longer recognise the place despite growing up there some 20 odd years ago! LOL!

Don't really know where we were.. we passed the main shopping area of Auroville and just saw a sign saying: "Auroville" but just a few days later we found out Auroville is not a normal place where you have some streets and houses! It's a really nice place nowadays
