@possession2 . What are you on about? India was never really an entity until the British came and made it. For over 1000 years, invading Muslims forged different Kingdoms of the small states into an empire which finally was given its death blow by the Brits. The Brits themselves say it was easy to take over India since there was no concept of nation state or national cohesion in the big geographical mass. Otherwise they wouldn't have ruled the region for 200 years.

i have a huge problem understanding UKs obsession with the Pakis

The obvious has no relevance? Upwards of a thousand years of British rule over India has no relevance on the traditions of India and Pakistan today?
How much of a plank are you?

Great tunes boys! No wonder you scare others with your versatility & courage (as evident from some of the baseless emotional outbursts). Great keep it up.

@emptyangel India never ruled over Pakistan or Bangladesh, it was just part of India, and why even mention the obvious?, it has no relevance fool.

Wow, the amount of idiocy in this comment is mind blowing.
Indian =/= Pakistan.
Remember it was Britain that ruled over India and Pakistan for a thousand years.
You should be proud that they are carrying on British traditions and ceremony. Instead of cursing and swearing that they are living on the street corner and making you feel uncomfortable because they're of different culture and race.

Its a legacy from when the British ruled India and these bands were formed as part of the British Army. The instruments and style are Scottish , however the tune is Pakistani. Interestingly the Pakistanis are now exporting bagpipes to Scotland as some of the best ones available are manufactured in Faisalabad if i remember correctly.
