Agreed! I shot all the Children of Kahless at the event. Pretty shy group for being Klingons, thought they did give this smooth head a snack Snickers!

I was born in McMinnville in 1948. My grandparents lived in Dayton just about a mile away from where the UFO pics were taken by the Trents. I've always wondered why they call it the McMinnville UFO pics. Guess because Dayton is 7 miles or so away and so much smaller. I interviewed the Trent family when I was 17 years old. Mr. Trent had to pull a big box of photos out to rummage through to find copies of the pics. Very funny, like he just had them jummbled in randomly with family pics.

No worries, I didn't think you were complaining. I can only imagine what it feels like in the heat with that gear on. Plus, I did shoot you guys before the parade even started. Still, very fun time!

The parade is always tremendous fun. Unfortunately the heat kept the Klingons from doing our usual wander among the vendors and appearances in the evening. I think a few of us were close to collapse. Fabric next year!!

I'm not really seriously complaining... if you saw the ad for the parade in the Friday Oregonian, the picture is my wife, myself, and a friend of ours from last year's parade. Just like in your video, I'd managed to turn my head at just the wrong moment. Drat!

Shy? I was one of them. Most of us walked and handed out candy, a few rode. I rode (90 degrees in the shade and no shade nearby got to me) while yelling Klingon proverbs at the crowd.

I'm the Klingon on the left in the background in the blue robes and black sleeves, if you freeze the video at about 3:17 or 3:18.
