Roger Grimsby RIP pt. 4 - Tom Snyder on Roger Grimsby

From the end of a "Late Late Show" in 1995, not long after Roger Grimsby died, Tom pays tribute to the man who was once his coworker. It's short but contains a few choice clips, including the infamous "Composure" blooper. It also contains what is, by far, my favorite Roger Grimsbyism ever:

Reporter: What is the most embarrassing thing to happen to you on the air?
Roger: I mispronounced "count".

Thanks HulkieD for the 4 parter about Roger. I lived in NYC during these years and saw the changes - not all were good. Okay, MOST were bad. Good years for broadcast journalism. News was NEWS, not infotainment. Now, I don't know - mostly sound bites and newsroom cutbacks. Sad.

I just noticed this now prior to his giggle fit- if you look closely enough at Bill Beutel and (is it Tracy Egan) to the right, you can tell they're thinking, "uh-oh, Grimsby's got the giggles, this is gonna be good".
