It's true, carry is generally not allowed in Switzerland anymore. Regardless, the disproportionate presence of firearms in Swiss culture in comparison to the rest of Europe coupled with the low crime rate directly contradicts the mantra of "more guns = more crime." Conscription or not.

Half my family is swiss and I spend a couple of months their each year. Many people over 20 have a rifle kept at home because they are conscripted to the militia, as Switzerland has no army, which belongs to the government. They don't carry them around. It's more likely that the conscription and military system is what reduces gun crime.

i think AR15 is gun like any other the news only makes them look bad and evil any body who wants to hurt others are going to do it regardless of laws or bans. so i think citizens should be able to have an AR15 for many reasons. like protection against govt or maybe just to own one for absolutely no reason. it wont make that much of a difference if you ban and AR15 criminals are going to find a way. its true you really don't need an AR15 but people don't really need a million dollar car
