Im a shelter volunteer and I exercise and socialize pit bull terriers quite often. I have never experienced aggressiveness nor have I been bitten. I have walked familiar dogs as well as dogs I have seen for the first time, but still no aggressivness. Everything in this video shows cruelty which disgusts me. I would love to meet the backyard breeder and make his life a living hell, THIS HAS GOT TO STOP!
@bpaws14 The correct name for a Pit Bull is American Staffordshire Terrier. The AKC Does recognize them. It's not the breeds fault that scum bags use them for fighting. I proudly own a "Pit Bull", he's a wonderful family member, not a fighter.
Adopt don't buy your pets. 22% of all shelter dogs are pure breeds. Pet stores deal with back yard breeders and puppy mills, if they claim otherwise just ask yourself this, Why would responsible breeders give there puppies to someone else to sell? Responsible breeders have potential owners sign a ownership contract legally binding you to provide vet care to your dog, and if at any time for any reason the dog cannot be kept, good breeders take back there dogs.
@MolosserKing "pitbulls" are any two bull breeds mixed together for the intent and profit of dog fighting. With out dog fighting these dogs are simply mutts. The AKC does nto reconize/ nor ever will they reconize them as a breed due to the reason people breed them. Anyone who says otherwise is fooling themselves. Breeding "pitbulls" or preserving them for a reason other then dog fighting is like saying you have a gun for a purpose other then to fire it.
Sad! Also very sad that the person that made this video, or whoever did the voice over knows very little about dogs! She even mentioned "Pit Bull" which isn't a breed. "Pit Bull" is a term used to describe a certain group of dog breeds, not one breed in specific. The breed she was thinking of was American Pit Bull Terrier. Education is key!
