@TrafSam I completely agree with you. Deep Purple is a hard rock band. The essential difference between hard rock and heavy metal, to my opinion, is that hard rock has more creative, more diverse form based not only on hooking guitar riffs. Heavy metal minimized it to those energetic riffs avoiding all the rest delicacies. Look! The only expressive places in most heavy metal tracks are its intro and coda. Everything between it just sucks!
