This is a quick guide to getting started with http://tunealiser.co.uk, demonstrating one use of the tool - sketching out a breakdown of a drum and bass track that can be heard on YouTube. Please ENABLE CAPTIONS so you can see a description of what's going on!

The track used is 734 (Original Mix) by Sinistarr, which can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SD_7EAOaotg . No copyright infringement is intended and I'm using it purely for demonstrative/analytical/critical purposes - this tool is for people who wish to analyse and study pieces of music and this video is a tutorial for the tool :)

Other uses of Tunealiser include performing similar analyses using Soundcloud clips or Vimeo videos, analysing short films that are available on YouTube or Vimeo, or creating new projects from scratch for sketching up original songs or films using the visual timeline.
