*** I apologize for the "jittery" video in a lot of the clips. I just installed a new camera and software and was inadvertently capturing at too high of a frame rate for my computer's processor, which caused Interleave Errors in the output AVI files ***
Dashcam footage from my Ford Ranger as I trundle about the City of Pittsburgh, capturing the inane, insane and downright stupid drivers out there.

@1:36 ... you made a left hand turn even though there is a sign that says no left hand turns...

@crf156 If you look under the sign, you can see that there is text written there - giving the times of day that sign is in effect. (9a-4pm, M-F, iirc). The turn was legal.

@lildobe Ah, alright. Thanks for the correction! :D

@crf156 It can be hard to read the road signs in my videos (and will be until I get a faster laptop and 1080p camera) so I highlight and type out the contents of them usually. I just missed that one.

Nice to see another dashcam from Pennsylvania. That's an interesting setup with the webcam+laptop. Too bad the laptop's CPU isn't efficient enough to crunch all that video and audio data like a DSP is. I always thought of trying a setup like that, but I couldn't justify the cost of buying a SSD for my laptop. 0:40 and 1:12 were pretty scary with the sound effect added lol.

@mattbjrs The laptop itself is an old Thinkpad T42 (Pentium M, 1.6GHz) with only 1gb RAM, so it lags quite a bit when crunching a lot of data :-/
I plan to replace it with a new Dual- or Quad-Core machine in the near future.
