@DarrinX I totally agree, I can't help but feel that JK Rowling only paired Ginny with Harry to keep the "red-headed female in Harry's life" theme going. And so the only real pairing for Hermione was with Ron, which had the trio all tied up in a nice little family package. Harry and Hermione was a much stronger, far more believable relationship. Heck, even Harry and Luna was a much more realistic pairing than Harry and Ginny!

harry and hermione were perfect! Before I even read or saw the movies my couisn was obsessed with it and just by watching the first trailer I thought they were going to get together in the end. but no!
