Great Spotted Woodpecker

I like my everyday Woodpecker visitor very much..I filmed this video in mid November 2010.His famous spots in my garden are feeders and the Bath..

I love Woodpeckers Menu ! :) They love the suet, woodpecker bars , and the sunflower seeds I have out for them in my feeders . In the summer I see them eating ants too . They are real calm birds , and used to seeing me out in the yard . :)

I can honestly say I've never seen a woodpecker pecking at the ground! Awesome footage:D

@seahue They always peck the ground for Ants and Worms...When they come to my garden may be as a habbit they dig for ages :)

PS: Bev is out of a 9hrs succes surgery. The cancer was contained and they where able to make a new blader with a part of her intestine. Thanks God !!!

@mbhsug Both variety of Woodpeckers are very famous for digging the grass. They mostly suck the Ants from the earth..I have observed it closely and in some of my videos also you can see it..and they also love to eat the worms..Once I saw a long worm been pulled out of the earth and eaten..

Both variety of Woodpecekrs are like daily visitors to my garden and they spent a lot of time in the garden..Both are very famous to dig the grass :)
