If you hear the guy turning on the switch in the beginning, it means the electrical coil circuit is powering up.

Andreh182, when Powerlabs was saying "high frequency" he means that he was tuning up the frequency from 50-60 hertz all the way up to 10-50 kilohertz (10,000-50,000 hertz.

Did you made you high frequency oscillator using a LM555?

High frequency = several thousand Hz. The power supply is 110V stepped up to about 600V on the primary of the coils.
