@azim6709 Almost got it right. LED means light emitting diode. But I'm just splitting hairs again. And I'm not so sure about whether or not the image quality is improved by LEDs. I mean, I've seen a vid of a LED TV that had a really bad picture quality; the colours looked like shit. Trees were cyan, for crying out loud.

One important thing I wanted to see was comparing the size to a person next to it. That helped me a lot. I was thinking about 46" or 55". This shows me 40 is perfect. Very specific details I've learn also from this video.

@117buster at the moment the best tv is a panasonic viera plasma,but plasmas are big energy consumers.I have the Samsung LED TV 46' UNB8000 bought it early 2009 and is just great for everything.one thing i didnt like was the whole blu-ray hype.so far i have 5 blu-ray and they are in widescreen and i can stretch the picture but you lose parts and quality on the movies,of course it will look better in widescreen but then what is the points of a HDTV if a blu-ray doesnt take up the whole screen

my 120hz motion capture use to work. now when i watch a blue ray it will only play on 60hz and i cant get the 120hz to come back on.
