OH how I love this sound. I have a pond on my land in Maine and love listening to them at night in the early spring. As the season progresses the sound/s get louder until they stop in early summer

Hi there. I'm a sound designer who recently recorded what I think are hundreds of frogs. Not sure if its all crickets, frogs, cicadas, or what. Do you think if I emailed you a clip of the sound you could identify the source? I recorded from a farm field near a swampy area last night 4/27/11.

Caught 2 tonight. I use a head light and scan the area they are calling from. You have to llok for the shiny distensable throat sac that gives them away. Also a short whistle back keeps them peeping so you can find them! Saw 5 total tonight!
Isn't that sound driving you grazy at night?
