  • what kind of sauce do you use?

  • @xbrokenheartx149 It shows it in the second video.

  • Sticky rice is a unique staple food of Lao people only... may be Isan people of Northeastern part of Thailand where the majority of Lao people resides. Sticky rice is Lao rice... no other Asian in Asian, but only the AiLao race of southern China, Laos, and NE Thailand only.... thank you.

  • @jonahandi2000 I know no one from Isaan who claims to be Lao. As a matter of fact, if you want to insult a Thai person (Isaan or not), ask them if they are Lao. This is a cooking video not a Lao culture history video. No offence intended.

  • nice work. good video. simply explained.

  • @msbd555 Thank You

  • I stayed in Thailand for a few weeks, every where I went people were eating sticky rice with their hands. So who ever said the use cutleries is full of it.

  • @GinCowt hahaha too funny I have been living in Thailand for more than year and most of my Thai friends eat sticky rice with bbq pork or with mangoes.yummy!..l'm not Thai but Filipino eat sticky rice too. We love sticky rice...It's Asian food and I know lots of my Korean friends eat sticky rice as well mix with the purple sticky rice. BTW nice video well done! The the comments become stickier than the sticky rice lolz

  • who would us a basket to cook and eat out of were is he from

  • @graduate411

nothing against you dude, and I'm sure you have the best intentions....BUT for the first time in over a century, Lao people are finally able to lift our head up and try to correct some mistakes and injustice, in history. Your ignorant statement above, however, serves only to perpetuate this injustice.

"I know no one from Isaan who claims to be Lao. As a matter of fact, if you want to insult a Thai person (Isaan or not), ask them if they are Lao."

Do you know why "Lao" is an insult to the people in Isaan? What did the Lao do to the people in Isaan? No one in Isaan claims to be Lao, yet they lum, play the khaen, eat sticky rice, papaya salad and speak Lao?!?! LOL

  • @StickyRiceKit

Just found this video and your comments. Wow dude you're one ignorant douchebag! I have a hard time believing that you “LOVED THIS STUFF (steamed sticky rice)”, that you had been making sticky rice and lived in Thailand for over 20yrs (2nd vid) … because you don't seem to know anything about the history of the food you (supposedly) loved and its people you lived with for 20yrs!!!

  • You eat with your hands to impress a Thai??

No way, unless it's at home, people now eat it with cutleries. Even at home, most people don't use their hands to eat sticky rice anymore. It's considered low-class, and only village people or construction workers do that. (Not that I have anything against them, just saying it's rude to do it at restaurants)

So unless you are specifically told that IT IS OKAY to do so by Thais, start with using a fork to take some out and put on your own plate.

  • @jonahandi2000 GOOD REMARK BROTHER. LET THE WHOLE WORLD KNOW ABOUT THIS ERROR........
