My own personal take on this "labels" stuff....I don't mind them, as long as they are used respectfully and not in a derogatory manner. I believe humans have an innate need to distinguish things from each other...including people of all types, so it's natural to want to sort of "label" something or someone...that doesn't mean that the person labels themself in the same way.

  • Great topic! Very good video....I dont mind being labeled as long as its true to who I am and not a stereotype or a put down

  • I totally agree, no stereotypes or put downs, and we don't need to do that, the labels are fine if used politely and sensibly.

  • ah this is the best vid ive seen talking about bi chicks. maybe i'll do a vid response talking about how i see things happenin as a bi.

I like how you put that labels are bad if you make them bad. it makes perfect sense to me.

  • Yea, ncf it's your turn! Let 'er rip! I want to hear your point of view.

    Just askin'

  • I've had insulin-dependent diabetes since I was 8 years old. Still, I do not like to be labeled as a diabetic because I am a person first! I hate to be labeled by this ugly disease I have. I am so much more.

Thanks for your thoughtful insights. Have a great Tuesday!!!
