All I hear is God in her words. It is the TRUE and ONLY GOD who created us with an agenda. We have lost our way for so long, when all we need to do is heal ourselves and walk His path. easier said than done, but when the devil says His love is not grabbable, I say it is tangible.

Back then her voice was still flowing naturally and smooth. Nowadays she can sound choppy at times. But there are always those occasional performances where she's sounding like the old L-Boogie. It's confusing.

@jamilazer My suggestion would be for you to study (NOT READ) the Bible to have a true foundation into what is happening now, as well as what is coming in the near future, from a godly perspective. Once you understand what God wants from mankind, then you will know understand the tricks of the devil. Look up this video on YouTube and watch the full series. @jamilazer Slow? You're not slow! Never undermine your adaptive ability to learn and grow. The system encompasses all facets of what you mentioned. The deception started all from the beginning with the fall of man, where satan and his followers tricked mankind out of our birth right. Whether or not you believe it or not this mankind is at war to free ourselves from satan and this fallen world. Those in power believe it as well, but they believe satan was given a bad rap, and that he is God.

@rmaynard626 sorry one last question, please explain the "system"; are you referring to mass media, government corruption, propaganda in the education system, or what specifically? I do apologize for my ignorance. Any links or resources that help slow people like me grasp this stuff would be much appreciated. :)

@rmaynard626 Thank you so much.

@jamilazer This song is speaking on the corruptive nature of man, and how he will corrupt and destroy everything, if he doesn't submit himself under the headship of God Almighty. She is using HIV and homosexuality as an one of many examples of a broken relationship between man and God.

@rmaynard626 so on point

can someone pls help me understand..is this abt the broken relationship between God and man, and how that impacts gender and relationships, or more specifically about something like HIV or is it about white supremacy, or something I'm not getting..I really wanna understand, since lauryn is so courageous to put this out.. so if you have thoughts pls msg me. thanks, be blessed in truth.

@FroopieLoopies Her songs are telling a story that most do not understand. She is on the run from the system.... Unfortunately, artist like her do not live long due to the messages in their songs, which gives clues to what the masses of people are up against. The sad fact is that we are oblivious to what is right in front of our faces. She is using her talent to warn us against those forces that are enslaving us. She is letting you know that the kingdom of God is the only way to free yourself.

Very true but without this example.Many would not stop to think about their existence,morals and affect on their children.we are all sinners so if someone decides to Challenge the System (even through lyrics) I applaud anything that free's our minds that bit more.The rest is our own Journey.Peace.
