Following comments from Youtube emails on the single brick break by Mark Miller (Kate Bird interview) that the supporting brick is there as a cheat, Mark demonstrate's the break on two bricks to address the question.

In this break Mark knife hand strikes the first brick with additional speed to shatter the second.
Although harder to film as brick 2 no longer stops brick 1 fragments slowing down as a "support", it is possible to view the fragments from both bricks breaking in half on ultra slow rewind.

  • This guy is the real master~~ Unbelivable!!

  • Hey thanks for the compliment but I will never want to be a master as i dont think anyone ever really masters an art. I have trained long and hard enough to be at Master Grade but Have lost respect for the grade system in most arts as they seem to be given away too freely.

  • remove the wedges between the blocks and have ambulance ready ymf!

  • Wedges????????

  • It seems that it's not the hand power that breaks the bricks, but when the bricks smashes into each other =/ I say like a couple of others here, loose the space between the bricks and try again.

  • How about keep the space and show your self doing the same break with same bricks !!!

  • Definitely cheating a little bit with the space between the bricks but still a decent break.

  • Ok, if it is indeed a speed break and not 2 bricks smashing against each other, just do one. If you can break 2, you can break 1. And I'd be more impressed cause it would be harder to fake.

  • i was like okay what is he gonna...... :O

  • wtf ..

  • I'd like to see someone do the ones on the table, can someone in the whole of internetdom do that?

  • Yes, two bricks slamming together will make them break...question is, why do they slam together with enough force to break? Because this gentleman knocked the ... out of them!

  • nice break. Lots of haters making comments though.

  • Ok Mark listen im not going to get into all this space no space nonesence, Im just going to go back to what you professed clearly in another vid . You stated if its not fully functional what good is it. If you swung your arm at me with that big of a wind up, 'd hit you a ridiculous amount of times before you got number 2 in. so my point is practice what you preach mate, hit it from close range high speed just like a real attack, dont leave openings JMO

  • what i care for most it the fact that you did not have to set up or prepair to strick

it was just like .Huh Ka Paw.

  • A cannot tell you how appreciated your comment is...I have attained the rank of 4th Dan after roughly 20 years of practice. I am and forever will be a martial scholar! Learning to teach, and teaching to learn!
