Well, it's here. Retro Core is back with a brand new series.  In this first volume of the new Retro Core we take a look at Turtles in Time for the Arcade, Kidou Soukou Dion for the Super Famicom, Twinkle Tale for the Mega Drive and Digital Pinball the Necronomicon for the Sega Saturn. Unfortunately there's no shite of the month this volume but it will return in volume 2. Enjoy

  • Welcome back ! It's very funny to see your son playing video games.

  • @retrovisionfr

Thanks. He really does love playing Turtles in Time.

  • Awesome! Retro Core's back!

As for the Super Pinball/Digital Pinball games, there was a fifth one (if the second version of Last Gladiators doesn't count) for the PS2: Akira Psycho Ball. The Japanese cover even has the Digital Pinball logo.

Twinkle Tale reminds me a bit of Elemental Master mixed with MERCS.

Also, can't wait for the Shite of the Month on the next episode :)

Thanks for the heads up on the PS2 Digital Pinball game. I had no idea KaZe ever made another one.

  • @Yakumo1975 And they also made another one, for the PS1, based on Power Rangers Zeo. Oddly enough Bandai released it in Japan with the Power Rangers name instead of the Sentai name (then again, they did the same with the SFC game)

There's also an iPhone/iPod Touch port of Last Gladiators, which looks pretty faithful to the Saturn version. It's known as LAST GLADIATORS Ver. 2010.

  • @M4R14NO94 I had no idea Bandai released the Power ranger game on the SFC in japan. I always thought it was a US only release. I also never knew about the iPhone version of Last Gladiator. I'm going to download that right now :) IF it is released in japan. we sometimes don't get everything on our iPhone. recently layer Section (Ray force) was released but not in japan or at least not yet. I managed to get it though :D
