We here at MidwestTongs.Com are helping animals in distress through our animal sanctuary and rescue (Monkey-Island.Net). APEril is a White Handed Gibbon Ape. She is 6 mo old. Her buddy is Chuck a female stray cat that we rescued many years ago. She had some problems with throwing up. So we call her Up Chuck or Chuck for short. APEril enjoys hanging out with Chuck and playing with her. Chuck tolerates her as you can see in this clip.     We at Monkey Island Rescue don't recommend owning a monkey or an ape as a pet. They're wild animals, and even if they grow up in a house from a young age, they will not grow up to be a domesticated house pet. Once APEril is old enough to care for herself, she will live with the other apes in the Rescue. If you want more information on monkeys as pets, visit our website, which is linked in our profile.

    As much as I love this (reading that it's a rescue home) and of course the fact that it's adorable, I can't help but to feel sorry for the monkey. He deserves to be out swinging in the trees with all of that energy

    If Chuck is still having issues w/ vomiting get her off all dry food and onto all canned grain-free or even a feline appropriate raw diet. Even w/ that beautiful long fur she shouldnt be vomiting or hacking up furballs. Check out Natural Care Cat Blog for best cat foods.
