Thanks Lisa. BTW, I will be looking thru your stuff for tips on how to research a topic prior to selection. If there isn't one, could you make us one?
Thanks, Also, I love your new style. Everyone looks better when they stop trying to look like someone else.

Today I was sort of agonizing over this very topic, of what to pursue and how to distinguish myself in that niche/field. Bam, Lisa has a video on the topic! Very informative. Lots of markets are saturated as heck. Still, it's about how you stand out, right? Good stuff, Lisa. ;)

Lisa,
I am wanting to create a website and have been watching your helpful videos! I am stuck with what kind of site to create. I definitely want to make $ with my site. Could you please give me your suggestions? A brief background on me: I am an elementary teacher turned stay at home mom. I taught for 8 years and plan on returning. I have been home for 2 years with my two youngest children. I want to create a site that encompasses all of the facets of my life! What do you think? Thank You!

Great videos! Just subscribed
Hi Lisa, I've been following for a while. Love the videos - very useful! While you say this is a brand new niche for you, my problem is when you say you are starting all over from scratch. You are not at the same "level" as you were in 2005. Secondly, you have built a relationship and developed trust and loyalty with your subscribers and that is to me THE major key in being successful in any niche. That relationship is enabling you to be successful in any "new niche" you pursue.

@SJCWebDesignLLC Absolutely. I couldn't agree more about relationships. The point I was trying to make though was that I had no relationship with the people in this new niche and had not announced this site to my 2create audience. So I built up that blog traffic and 400+ YouTube subscribers in 2 months with this new site. I was trying to show that my writing content/video-making strategy is still enough to build a following in 2010.

II think being beautiful helps alot with people viewing your videos and responding to your other sites. But what does a middle-aged man need to learn to build a website when you know nothing about it.but I feel I have alot to say.i saw those css and htlm books in the background do I need to learn that stuff.

@richlamarkev Interesting point of view, but I STILL believe that no matter what you look like people want GOOD content. So middle aged, young, old, etc. I'd still say, find a niche you're passionate about, research demand, develop a unique angle (very important) and provide HELPFUL content. The strategy remains the same no matter what you look like. :)

Do you use the built-in webcam in your Mac to create these videos now? Or is it just basically a camcorder on a tripod?

@Wako098 No, I have an HD camcorder and I use my Mac software to do the editing.
