Part 4 of a 4 part interview with Philip Castle, a British Illustrator most widely recognised for his iconic creations of the posters for Stanley Kubrick's 'A Clockwork Orange and ' Full Metal Jacket'. Philip has also designed many other film posters including Tim Burtons, 'Mars Attacks', Jack Nicholson's 'Goin' South' and Ken Russell's 'The Boyfriend', and also for album covers for artists such as David Bowie, Pulp, The Rolling Stones, Metronomy and Paul McCartney's Wings. Included in this interview are never-before-seen photographs of early development sketches, and artefacts from his film work with Kubrick and others. Part four, entitled 'Interesting Bits & Pieces' puts together some of Philip Castle's Album Cover designs, looks at his tentative relationship with self publicity and Photoshop and explores his RAF aeroplane posters amongst a clutch of other interesting information for the modern poster illustrator and graphic designer.
