Here's pictures and videos of my trip to Arlington National Cemetary.
We got to watch the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and everything else.
It was really great. The only pictures that weren't mine were the ones taken at night, or during random seasons, or the picture with the horse-drawn hearse. [sp?] Enjoy!

The Tomb of the Unkown is for all the soldiers that were lost or have died in combat and where never found or identified. It is a place for those people to be remembered and honored. Not only did they give there lives for thise country but they also lost there identity. The Tomb of the Unkown is for those fallen soldiers and a place for there families to honor them because they will never know what happened to there loved one.

ok i dont know anything about the cemetary so this is probably a stupid question. lol but why do they have a tomb of an unknown soldier?

Its not a stupid question at all! :)
The Tomb of the Unknown soldier is for all of the soldiers that were killed, but not able to be identified because of one reason or another [lost ID tags, not recognizable physical features or dental records, etc.]
They still want to honor those soldiers, so they have a 24/7 guard at the tomb of the unknown soldier. Since they can't honor them by putting their name on a plaque... because they don't know the name.
:) Hope I explaned that right.
