Hello, The instructions are basicaly the same you are just re-using the old shaft and spocket. You will have to drive out the roll pins which is best done with a bench vise and pin punch.

Correct we removed the unit and flipped it upside down on a workbench. We suggest doing this as it does make things easier and will save time on the complete job.

You are a god and and an awesome instructor. I had ordered the parts from you thanks to your video instructional, and they arrived within a few days. I then proceeded to follow your instructions to the word and the door works better than ever.

Thanks this was very helpful! Repair went as planned and my door is back in business. Also it was the perfect project to have my 15yo son help me and learn how stuff like this works.

I have watched several videos on how to repair this opener, and this is the best one by far. Thanks for posting this video! It made my repair a breeze. I only had a little trouble with the up/down positions because the chain wasn't in it's original position, so I had to loosen it again and move it, but, no big deal!
