@hapkidopip Partly correct. Considering your screenname, you should recognize it's influence from Tang Soo Do.
-
@Jxr3r That is his own expression of it. It is also the first form learned in Wun Hop Kuen Do. Overtime, his flow will get better.
-
@elbori187 You're comparing it to Shaolin Monkey Form. It's not the same. In Wun Hop Kuen Do Kung Fu, it is Monkey Form.

Good form!
A tip(hint): Stand ,,deeper" and practice the horse stance 3 mins a day. If you do that your form will look more elegant.
-
not monkey form.. thats a fact

Yes these are the Palama sets. In the Wun Hop Kuen Do Kung Fu System, the Palama sets were modified and called Hau Kuen (monkey form, not monkey style). Wun Hop Kuen Do was founded by Sifu Al Dacascos who was a student of Adriano Emperado of the Kajukenbo System. I learned the 70's version taught by Dacascos to my Sifu. The form has evolved much since then as far as hand positioning and foot work. Usually it is finished off with a fourth section which is in a stationary position. Peace!

What kind of monkey is this, the karate monkey?
-
is doch ganz o.k.
-
You only touched the surface. No flow at all. I have seen karate more smoother than this
-
half assed , I think you are being too polite here. It is like Corky ( life goes whatever) taking karate classes.
Thanks!
For those who are not familiar with the Hau Kuen, at 00:44 I do a move which does not belong there, hence it being messed up ...
