Farther down the rabbit hole. People raise their chests and place their shoulders at the appropriate level, Excellent. Then one is to begin adjusting the pelvis. Usually lower it or relax the arch at the small of the back by lengthening the spine. Remove the arch and the "junction box" at the small of the back is more capable of doing its' job. That is allowing more grace and ease to accompany the movements of the body.

@Tyler0206 I have tried everything from rolfing to physical therapy and beyond, alexander technique works is the method that has had best result for me, results that last.
You seem extremely narrowminded and judgeful with your comments.

@paulagloria If something works for you, it doesn't matter that it doesn't fit someone else's medical model. There is SO much out there that doesn't fit in w/ traditional western medicine, so they don't accept it--yet it WORKS for people. Keep doing what you're doing if it helps you!

I wonder if Vibram Five Fingers shoes might help you? FYI I am in no way qualified to say, it's just a thought.

I have an arthroprosthetic implant that replaced my talo-navicular joint in my left foot. its purpose is to maintain space between the talus and navicular bone, the joint of which has a large part of the lateral movement of the foot. this device reduced my lateral mobility (think of how you can flip your foot on its side) to about 20%. Pain level is about the same as before this optional surgery, and as I can manage the pain, its the stiffness that I cant quite get used to.
The Alexander Technique sounds interesting. I'd like to find out more about it. But, even more importantly, Hope Martin is HAWT! :-)

she is as beautiful inside as out and works very very hard at her profession. NYC is very lucky to have her. I hope ppl support her work, help themselves in these times when ppl are "economizing" taking care of the body should be foremost to creating a platform to support the great work we need to do.
