yea Buells aren't built for straight line. they are designed for street riding. they have torque over horsepower. but a 12R redlines at 7k rpm (7500 on the 9R) where an R1 has a lot more rpms gearing has alot to do with it too.

The topspeed is not defined by engine-volume.. lol.. you can make a 125cc go 300km/h in theory if you want, but it wont make it because too little power.
