Simply, one of the best performances ever!
-
actresses need to study her acting very close, one may pick up something very helpful. for instance:
-- the way she pauses in between statements
-- her realistic use of the word "uhm" and "uh"
-- her scoffing and stammering
-- the way she doesn't exaggerate her facial expressions or hand motions
-- her change of tone at 0:40

i never really fully understood what this movie is about

I don't understand why the therapist isn't sitting facing her patient. You can't sit that way for a half hour or hour and not get a strain in your neck. Maybe that's why she looks so uncomfortable.

Yeah, this kind of long scene focusing on the actresses or actor, brings the best out of them. Lines can't create it but can guide them and they have to cleverly improvised.

very good actress i love this movie

She wrote in her book that she improvised these psych scenes! Isn't that fantastic? So realistic.

She is....amazing talent.
i don't think its weird. unusual, maybe, but lots of people will view it to see how great the acting of jane fonda is in the psych sessions. i think jane fonda's acting in klute is the single greatest acting i've ever seen by ANY actress in a role. better than the best of meryl streep or katharine hepburn. the only one that comes close to it is bette davis in her best roles

It's because there is such detail and control in her performance while at the same time being so artless and natural. She's absolutely amazing.
