Timothy Dalton as Heathcliff(1970). This was the first video I did of Timothy. I heard this song and saw the video in my head! This is still one of my favorite videos. Timothy is so young here, so innocent and troubled as Heathcliff. This may not be the most popular version of this classic Bronte story, but Timothy brings Heathcliff alive with his brutally real and tortured soul for Catherine. Enjoy!

On 3 September 2012, Timothy and I have our 40th anniversary! In 1972, on 3 September, a college date made the mistake of asking me “What movie would you like to see?” I carried WUTHERING HEIGHTS under my arm in high school, read it over and again. I’d already seen TD in LION IN WINTER but not until his “Heathcliff” did I “fall in love!” During the entire film, I sat “drooling,” elbows on my knees. After the first time, I opened the theatre and closed it every night and weekend. ~ Janet

Aside from Sir Lawrence Olivier and Merle Oberon, This is my other Favorite Film version of a beautiful tragedy!

Thank you so much! I have been looking for this Wuthering Heights! I can never find this one in Japan. I saw this movie so many years ago. I cannot forget his eyes. This is the best Heathcliff, I believe!

BEAUTIFUL video! I love the song you chose; it's perfect. This is the first movie I saw Timothy Dalton in back in the 70's. He only improved with age...
