    Most fans of Disney's scifi classic, The Cat from Outer Space, which featured a 24 year old Bruce Willis in the title role don't know that it was loosely based on this short by Chris Marker. The clipped edits reveal the despondency of the cat as he succumbs to the pleasures of earth. The story was revisioned in The Man Who Fell to Earth with Bowie in the role of the cat, referenced in several episodes of Red Dwarf, and received an unforgivably tasteless homage in the television series A.L.F..

    My cat apparently loves music. I was watching Phantom of the Opera last night, and she came out at one of the most dramatic parts of the movie (the cemetery scene) and planted herself in front of the TV and started watching the scene.
