  • You must remember that Byron Lee in the early days of ska and rocksteady did covers of the originals so that they were more acceptable to the middle and upper classes. Kind of like the Pat Boone of Jamaica at the time. Many local artistis got their start with Byron Lee.

  • Jamaican song, by the way. I'm J'can.

  • GREAT song! FIRST time EVER hearing it! I was watching "Vince Gill - Oh Carolina" on you tube and I noticed this song by suggestions on the right hand side of the video and i thought it was going to be a cover to a GREAT Country Music Classic but it turned out to be this song and NOW I LOVE it! :)

    Thanks for posting! :)

  • bloody horrible. The Folks Brothers version pisses all over this

  • @bucaneromax1 So it should be it was recorded before that bloody awful version x I've got this and just love it - so much sweeter and much more authentic xxx

  • This shoud be the best, by the master Byron Lee, the original is too drumy

  • thats what a 'drum solo' should sound like!

  • woo, lost art

  • Thanks for this...love the percussion on this! :D
