Agriculture has by its very nature a system of built-in limitations. But, we have figured out how to bypass many of those limits, and as a result, we pay a terrible cost. In this segment, Carlo Petrini, founder of Slow Food International, outlines the serious problems we face from food production throughout the world.
If we are what we eat, and the plants aren't getting natural manure anymore, doesn't that mean we aren't eating what he said at the end?? =D
Great talk thank you

Bravo! I think what he was saying about the Earth's soil is weakening, like it has a disease but we know Mother Earth is very tough. We need to go back to growing foods that provide nutrition from soil that is healthy and alive in skies free of pollution and water untainted. On a side note, I speak no Italian but from the Esperanto I do know, I could follow him at times. We also need to communicate with each other better.

I thought what the speaker was saying was interesting.. about food and nutrition.
It reminds me of another video I was watching on this channel.. where the guy said basically 'If mold like's it, then it's probably safe to eat' because mold won't grow on thing's that have no nutritional value or something along those lines..
Anyways the guy makes the earth sound weak, which I have to disagree with that.. The earths pretty freaking tough. It's humans that' can't adapt quickly enough.

He's right - much of the world's food no longer provides nutrition. And it often offers poison along with no nutrition. At the same time, the number of people who understand how to and are willing to produce nutritious food are dwindling at an alarming rate.
