Top 5 Gundam: Openings

First, let me be perfectly clear, this is my personal opinion and in no way do I consider it as fact, so please don't post random abuse if you disagree.

Now, onto my reasoning. I didn't include this in the video because I didn't want to ruin it too much.
5: Bokutachi no Yukue: I just adore the song and the way that it complements the animation, it's fantastic.
4: Rhythm Emotion: First, the song itself it fantastically sung and really catchy. As soon as I heard it I went to find it on the internet. I love the moment in the opening where Relena and Heero are together on the rock, it looks heroic and it's a great moment. The way the Gundams are showed off is good as well.
3: Anime ja Nai: Great animations where it shows the sort of 'evolution' of mankind & the Gundam metaseries, but that isn't the main reason that I love it. 'Joshuki to yuu megani de, bokutachi no sekai wa, nozokeshi nai no sa, yumeo wasureta, furui, chikk-u jin-yo'. That lyric is pretty much what guides me through life. It means 'Our world cannot be viewed through the glasses of common sense, you old earthnoids who have forgotten your dreams'. What a lyric.
2: Ash Like Snow: This is here purely because this is my favorite song. It's an amazing piece of music, and it gets even better with the full version. If you like Jpop then I would try to find a download.
1: Silent Voice: The song is lovely and the animation is superb. I don't know why, but when Haman flies upwards out of Puru to the buildup of aaa-iii-taaa-iii, I always feel really moved. There are many other moments in that song that I love, but that one stands out. Again, if have any interest at all in Japanese music, then I recommend downloading the full version of that song.

There you go. This was a really hard list to make, nearly all of the Gundam openings are amazing. Of special note are the original series' Tobe! Gundam, which is amazing by sheer cheesiness, Daybreak's Bell (00 op1), Believing a Sign of Zeta (Zeta op1) and Just Communication (Wing op1).

Having been rewatching SEED I would include 'Realize' by Nami Tamaki (op4) somewhere on this list. It has really gotten me into her music and it is a superb song in it's own right. I recommend giving the PV a watch here on Youtube.
