Rough fall and spring. Last fall it rained so much and delayed everything. We didn't finish combining until the night before our first 'major' snowstorm (Dec. 12?) and before that we got the combine stuck a few times, semis were getting stuck in the mud and snow. We hardly got any fieldwork done either last fall. With the snow and rain, yeah everything was just soaked. And same here, everyone I've talked to says its been one of the worst here that they can remember, hopefully it straightens out
Thats some heavy machinery! Wish we had those here in Europe. Guess i got to come over to "Down-under" and make a few shots of those beasts. Never seen those things in real action only from books but what i wanted to ask you lorider is: How is driving in nighttimes? I mean it looked like youve seen nothing but 5 meters in front and 2 to the rear. Do you "navigate" via the small boardcomputer or are you really seeing enough?
Would love to see a little video about that.

The lights from the tractor don't really show up that well because I made the video from my cell phone. The halogen lights illuminate about 300 feet in front of the tractor 100 feet behind and about 60 feet off to each side. The "boardcomputer" is actually the display for the GPS which steers the tractor from one end of the field. Sorry to correct you, but Manitoba is not "down-under". We're from Canada

Oh man, the last part of the video where you're stuck, looks nasty. Embarrassingly saved by a Deere, good man. Thankfully we only got stuck once, with the MX285 and the airseeder, but the Versatile/Ford pulled her out pretty easily. Plenty of close calls. This last rain, I think, stopped us a hundred some acres short of being fully in the ground, with most of that being shit that was flooded. Too damn wet

we managed to get 2800 of 3000 acres in the ground. the last fields werent worked in the fall and were like a sponge. harrows couldnt even be pulled across them. i take it that you had a rough spring in ND? its been one of the worst in our area for a long time
