This Lego Walker is based on the design by artist Theo Jansen "het Strandbeest" . The leg design makes it possible to take actual steps. It walks sideways through the world though :-)

It uses a single engine and infrared remote and I used a standard battery rather that the lego standard battery-pack to save weight.

Please let me know what you think, Oschoe

  • Congratulations! You made it to the The Next Step blog with this creation.

Since this is the major NXT blog I think your creation must have attracted enough attention. ;-)

  • @MennoGorter

Hi Menno , That's excellent. Much appreciated!

I'll try to be just as loud with the next project ;-)

    Cheers Onno

  • Nice work! :) It looks like you have everything you need to make it turn... can it?

  • Love it! Do you have a plan to print out? For those of us less talented but still fascinated: bj

  • That's so cool!

  • Very nice. Will try to emulate it soon. Wel gedaan.

  • @oschoe In the case the nxt version has to turn, I can give you the advice to use those rubber parts on only four of the legs. ;-)

Plus I hope you'll manage it to use 100% Lego; you seem close to that.
