@krishnanu You are wrong. What he was doing is getting her in a state where she actually is in love with someone and then he anchored all those feelings and linked it to himself. He is such a player in this movie I swear. Even when he says "kissi ki aankhen achi hai" he looks into her eyes and smiles , then he says "Kissi ke hont ache hai and then he looks at her lips.
She looked back at him because I bet all she was thinking while walking to the train is "what would I really do?"

You know, I agree with every valid criticism made about this movie. The script is so-so, Raj is a jerk, there is sufficating patriarchy, Simran is naive and bratty and the action is cheesy. But God, does this movie work. That happens every now and then, and much of the reason it happens with DDLJ lies with SRK and Kajol. THEY work and scenes like this prove it. I want to hate Raj, but I can't stop watching and I want her to 'palaat" too. Their chemistry is other worldly and can't be duplicated.
