  • are you sure its a serrasalmus? i think its a pygocentrus naterri, a red belly piranha. moreover, serras arent skittish like your fish, pygos are. hope you didnt pay much for it, red bellies are way less expansive than serras

  • That's not a serrasalmus thats a pygocentrus natterari one of the three true piranha species.

  • this is a common red belly pirana, serrasalmus nattereri,. (aka pygocentrus nattereri) this fish are skittish, and thrives best in large packs. also the collors of this nice fish fade with age, from red to more orange red,. pygo caribe (shoulderspot pirana)is another but much more agressive

  • Put a Jack Dempsey in there if you really want to feed him...
