Austerity Blues

They say the 2010s are the age of austerity and we are all in it together. Austerity Blues, illustrated from Nigel Pennick's archive of photographs shows the ramshackle, derelict, ruinous bomb-site Britain of the days of postwar austerity and the supposed boom of the 1950s and 60s when the polluted, ramshackle and ruinous were still everywhere. The soundtrack 'Austerity Blues' expresses the dislocation and alienation of the era illustrated here.
