Train smashes car Kills 5 instantly

July 2009----- 5 passengers in a ford fusion traveled around and across a railroad crossing with gates down and were hit by an amtrak train and all 5 were killed instantly, i put together this video of pictures and actual video of the accident as it happens and the 911 call. And that is how long a train takes to stop, it has immense kinetic energy, don't mess with it.

Also spare a thought for the driver of the train, accidents like this can traumatise a driver for years, some never drive again.

Listen to the sound of those brakes! To be honest, the only people I feel sorry for here is the train driver which has to live with this thought for the rest of his life and the emergency services which have to take care of getting those bodies or whats left of them out of the wreckage. Remember, a 1-2 ton vehicle is not going to stop a 200+ ton locomotive travelling at about 60mph, so don't take the chance.

@Polybun It isn't the family's responsibility. If they sue anyone it will be the insurance company, and I think trains need some sort of energy deflection standards. The front of a train is far to rigid.
