All the feels. Just. All of them.

Rueful doesn't even cover it...

@Arangarta Yeah, sounds like a sound played backwards. Couldn't tell you what, though - I'm not convinced it's piano, though that would be my closest stab.
Loving the tragic Ennio Morricone vibe of this cue. Murray Gold's music might be uniform in quality, but it's the varied styles that make his Who music truly classic.

Rose takes all of time and space into her own head. The doctor takes it out and regenerates.
Donna takes the doctors mind into her own head . The doctor takes it out along with any chance of her returning!
Nice. Real nice.

Can I ask any music buffs out there, the first eight seconds what is that particular effect called?
Donna Noble was and probably always will be my favorite companion. It's what makes her fate so tragic. She became a better person from her travels with the Doctor, and to have them all torn away and her reverted back to her former self makes me cry. I hope with all my heart that she will one day return. It doesn't matter if she returns as a companion or not, I just wish that our last moments with her are not with her old self.
