  • SOLAR AND WIND=SOLUTION

  • jeeez !! halafu wanainchi watukufu wa kenya warudishe these thieves 2012.

  • sas familia kama hii... Rent 16,000 (2 bed), Elect (8,000), Food 10,000, fare 10,000....and that is when they are on a tight budget... How many ppl can afford that... This govt. ... i'm out of words...

  • I thought the sleeping baba Jimmy suspended all travels abroad. Why then was Kiraitu not in the house to respond to the question? Was he at another PDM meeting? I am so tired of these idiots...

  • These are the results of corrupt systems. KPLC is all concerned with milking its customers really hard. Am over 100%sure that they are using these proceeds to overpay their staff esp those on management level. The minister is busy starting new party for 2012. What a pity to the c'mon man?

  • thats cool then...shida ni the manager @ Mumias sasa. He/she will exaggerate operating costs and pass them on to consumers. See now either way clients, Citizens, are screwed!

  • Kenya has an installed power capacity 1, 480 mega watts of power, including temporary emergency power of 290 megawatts, but is currently supplying about 1050 megawatts at peak time just enough to meet its demand.

The Mumias sugar deal on starting to produce energy and selling it to KPLC is such a bright idea. The likes of Ibera Africa are doing quite well.

  • I would go solar if I lived in Kenya. The government doesn't seem to be coming out and helping out Kenyans. Either allow competition and stop the monopoly of KPLC

  • right....green na solar is way to go. NSE insider dealings na politicking is too risky for small savers.

  • the KPLC and ken Gen are really milking the wananchi..this issue needs to b addressed very urgently..Government should also b considering other sources of energy.otherwise the average kenyans won`t afford power!
