The Strasburg Railroad is always a stop for me when I go to Hershey and Lancaster. I actually wound up going for the Day out With Thomas week. It was still a good time minus the fact it was chaos. Well, we got a few shots of Thomas, as well as Norfolk and Western 475. We catch Thomas meeting N&W 475, the self propelled motor car, and the speeder. Also we have a nice shot of N&W 475 with some ignorant Indians talking throughout the entire video, I asked them to be quite about three times. And probably the best shot of the trip, N&W 475 passing a string of about 10 freight cars, this was EXTREMELY rare for the Thomas week. They had so much freight come in that they had to store it on the track that the other steamer would usually go on. Lastly we get 475 pulling into the station, coupling up to the train, and departing again. All in all this was a great time, I do enjoy seeing the steam trains every now and then.

  • Look at all the steamers waiting for restoration at 3:18. Do you know anything on their status?

  • @PereMarquette1223 I'm pretty sure nothing is being done with them. I could be wrong though, I don't know too much about this railroad, it just seems like every time I'm down there there are always steamers there.

  • Yay! Thomas the train ;D! Haha, great video man!

  • @KyleVideoDesigns Haha thanks, even though I'm older now I still thought it was pretty cool to see Thomas in real life.

  • We have been going the last 3 yrs now. Grandson loves Thomas. We rode No 90 and 475. Visited the museums too. Thanks for putting up the video. Brings back memories. You had some nice shots.

  • @fogmang27 Cool man! It has been a tradition in our family as well, I love everything they do from the museums to the train rides. It's really a great place! Thanks for watching it, I'm glad it brought good memories!

  • @CSXACe Most of those are being restored, but for other private companies. The camelback isn't being restored though.

  • @21stCenturyLtd Thanks man, it actually wasn't too bad. I guess because I wasn't riding the trains or anything.

  • @trainfann1 It was Friday the 24th and Saturday the 25th. Friday stops at 3:45 and Saturday begins there.

  • Excellent video! I've heard its hell around there with all the people haha
