I read the article, and this was based purely on clinical trials. Just put it in patients and see what happens. Very un-scientific. So they have no clue how it does that. Plus, the confidence level wasn't very high either. It could be due to anything. For one thing, clinical trials determined that stress level is related to telomeres as well, so too many factors.

Have you all heard the amazing news that broke this week?

It turns out that the components in Omega-3 fish oil (DHA and EPA) lengthen telomeres, or at least slow their shortening.

Yes yes, we all know about telomerase. Except that anything found to enhance its activity has been bashed in conferences by other scientists saying it might cause cancer. And as we all know, cancer cells have unchecked telomerase activity, thus immortal as well.

Thsi is what I found: "The biotech company Geron Corporation has determined that a molecule from Astragalus propinquus root called TA-65 is a telomerase activator. According to PRNewswire, TA Sciences, has a license from Geron to sell TA-65 and is now selling it as a neutraceutical anti-aging product at their TA Sciences Center in New York City."

-I was hoping for something more radical, not a mere tonic. If this is all we might as well stick to green tea.

is there a better way to elongate the telomeres? Is astragaloside same with telomerase? and what is the delivery system? are there better delivery systems using nanotech that may become available soon?
