The just announced "New iPad" will sport the A5X chip which is ratted at 4x more powerful in graphics processing than the Nvidia Tegra 3. However, where are the benchmarks and their context? There is nothing but an ambiguous bar graph without a breakdown of software being used.

    Thanks for watching the video! I made this to show how ridiculous the Apple marketing can be. Even if iPad3 is objectively faster than Tegra3, they need to show real proof.

    tennispro3782 - The iPhone 4S's CPU is NOT better than quad-core CPUs like the Tegra or Exynos. The software is simply better optimized for dual-core hardware. Thanks to efforts like project Butter, Android 4.1 will have the software needed to appeal to the masses. 60 fps and triple buffering.

    It's because most programs are dual core based, so when they're running on a device they will only use 2 cores of the 4. You will see a big difference when you run a program that is able to use the features of a quadcore CPU. Specs always DO matter.

    speed is one thing on benchmark, thats just like a dyno run on cars, ya have to put the. to test on a real game, the way its done on pc's. the more cores the better cuz it wont lag behind plus more cores = more calculation n more shaders thqt can splut its work like sli so to speak

    well pure specs don't really mean anything these days since the amount of variables going into products are enormous. Take in point the iPhone 4S. At the time of release, it crushed quad core CPU's, despite being a dual core phone. Now this isn't always the case, but its an example that specs mean nothing.

    This video IS hilarious though :)

    I've done the math, and it's true

    I asked the Apple geniuses how they did it:

    A5 - A5X -> 5X5 = 25 = 2 * tablet => 25/2 = tablet = 12,5

    Tegra 3 * 4 = 12

    A5X is therfore >4 times better

    Totally legit xD
